I had a friend this morning who asked if a coaches wife passing away is really sports news... when its Patsy Sutton, absolutely. What an amazing women what an incredible family. Our hearts hurt today for the Sutton Family.
Read this incredible post by former Cowboy Doug Gottlieb. This paragraph pretty much sums up what made her so special:
Maybe more than anything Patsy Sutton was what we all aimed to find. A sweet OSU coed, far out of our league, that we could start a family of our own with. Consider this, if imitation is the most sincere for of flattery, how flattering is this.
Nick Saban is the man. For the 3rd time in 4 years he has won the National Championship AND was in the refs ear and players faces despite a 42-14 lead int he 4th quarter against Notre Dame. Saban is a machine. Grantland took a great look at the motivation behind Saban.
It turned out, in case we had doubts, that Nick Saban really is just better at this straight-up no-gimmicks football thing than everyone else, that he has micromanaged himself into immortality — and that he is already, as I write this, preoccupying his mind with next season and the mental gymnastics required to assure his players that three national championships in four years doesn't mean a damned thing come Wednesday
FYI...I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have found myself just laying on a hotel room bed or staring out a window while procrastinating on being the best I can be. Great work Michael Wenreb, well done.
And Finally... This is REAL. At least I think its real??? Is this Real?? I have to believe that Oxygen is trolling us all. Though I did watch a show last night about the wives of pastors.
PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — Oxygen television executives weren’t talking Monday as negative attention grew about “All My Babies’ Mamas,” its proposed program featuring a musician who has fathered 11 children with ten different mothers. The Parents Television Council on Monday asked the network not to let the program on the air, calling it “grotesquely irresponsible and exploitive.” The group follows a New York writer, Sabrina Lamb, who launched a petition drive against the show. Lamb said the petition, listed on change.org, has more than 20,000 signatures. It was described as a one-hour special to air this spring “revealing the complicated lives of one man, his children’s mamas and their army of children.” Three days later, New York author Sabrina Lamb received an email from a friend with a link to the program. She said it featured Atlanta rap artist Shawty Lo, his children and their mothers. In one part of the program, the father is asked if he can name his children, which he is able to do, she said. “If you wanted to do a documentary on how to exploit your children, that would be perfect,” she said.
Give the guy points... if there is a way to try and make sure you are always making sure money is coming in why not put it all out there on national TV to gain some extra coin. At least he is a step ahead of Antonio Cromarte who couldn't even name all of his kids.
